Summary of the Job
Demonstrates knowledge and skills to provide clinical data support for the designated nursing areas, directors and other designated individuals. Responsible for assisting with report creation; including processing, compiling, extracting data from various systems. The individual must show exceptional initiative and demonstrate the spirit of Deaconess First. Employee must be able to successfully complete job specific orientation, competencies, and meet/exceed the standards as identified in the criteria based performance appraisal.
Job Duties include the following, other duties may be assigned: Effectively prioritizes, communicates, records, and/or delivers messages accurately and in a timely manner. Confidentiality is maintained at all times. Transcribes/prepares/distributes clinical data accurately and in a timely manner. Functions as an IT resource including but not limited to data collection and presentation preparation. Coordinates simultaneous tasks both accurately and productively; demonstrates ability to remain flexible and calm to adjust workflow with fluctuating workload, duties, and problems. Gathers and compiles information to create quality metric reports. Clinical data is entered timely into the Midas program so that quality analysis’s and others have the reportable information they need. Reports are disseminated as requested. Maintains EPIC competencies and functions in the data coordinator role. Collects and organizes data for all the Intensive Care Units. Assists in tracking of Core Measures and HFAP required documentation standards. Orders and maintains supplies in a cost-effective manner. Maintains appropriate levels of forms, materials, and supplies. Monitors supplies and charges appropriately. Reports malfunctioning equipment and enters work orders when necessary. Records work time accurately and appropriately with no more than 2 avoidable exceptions. Examples include: utilizes ADP to record clocked time entries. Reviews Clocking Transaction Report and makes necessary corrections within the pay period for designated personnel. Performs other duties as directed.
Current and valid LPN Kentucky license required.
